5.6. Removal and installation of the oil cooler

Before starting implementation of the procedure, wait for full cooling of the engine.


 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. On some Integra models between a full-line oil filter and the block of the engine the oil cooler is installed (see an accompanying illustration).

2. Remove an oil filter and merge motive oil (see the Head Routine maintenance).
3. Disconnect two lines of a cooling path from the oil cooler. Prepare for collecting the spilled liquid. At once to a zakuporta open ends of lines and nipple connections.
4. Give the big nut (which is usually representing a part of a hollow fixing bolt) in the center of the oil cooler and separate the last from the engine.
5. Installation is made upside-down. Do not forget to replace the sealing ring established between the block and the oil cooler (before installation oil a new ring pure motive). Track reliability of fastening of hoses of cooling lines on the unions.
6. Establish a new oil filter and fill in in the engine fresh engine oil (see the Head Routine maintenance).
7. As necessary correct levels of cooling liquid and motive oil.
8. Start the engine and check it for existence of signs of leak of oil or cooling liquid.
9. Double-check levels of oil and cooling liquid.
