6.6. Check of a state and replacement of the sensor of fuel consumption

See preventions at the beginning Dropping pressure in a power supply system.


 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove a back seat (see the Head Kuzov).

2a. At the corresponding complete set remove a protective level of a cover of access to a gasoline tank (see an accompanying illustration).

2b. Uncover access the car floor panel (see an accompanying illustration).

3. Disconnect an electrical wiring from fuel consumption sensor block (see an accompanying illustration).

4. If the sensor fastens by means of a lock ring, use for an otdavaniye of the last a drift (see an accompanying illustration). The ring needs to be developed so that his uvulas were combined with deepenings in the case.


For the purpose of prevention of risk of sparking use only a brass instrument.


5. Take assembly of the sensor from the fuel tank (see an accompanying illustration). Try not to bend the float lever.

6. Connect an ohmmeter to electrical wiring socket plugs (see an accompanying illustration) and measure the electric resistance of the sensor. Measurement should be performed at three provisions of a float corresponding to various extent of filling of a tank (empty, half filled and full). Compare results to requirements of Specifications.

7. At noticeable deviations of results of measurement from norm replace the sensor.

8. Installation is made upside-down do not forget to replace sealing laying of a cover of access to the fuel tank.
